Christine in Gartcosh: £24.79 a Month After Solar, a Battery and a Heat Pump Fix. Her family’s air source heat pump had been set up badly from the start, and in the worst months the electricity bill ran to around £600.
We installed a 10.5 kWp black bifacial array with 20.8 kWh of battery storage, then put the heat pump’s flow temperatures, balancing and controls right. The family now pays £24.79 a month, about £6,900 a year less.
